My Way or the Highway
Sounds a little bit rough, but that’s not at all where I’m headed with a statement like, “My Way or the Highway”. Let me explain. Most of the time we take the most direct route, whatever will get us there fastest. We have things to do, people to see, and want to get the job done. Sometimes you just have to slow down a little and see what there is to see in life. Try my way, not the highway.
There’s nothing like a good winding road to add a little adventure to your roadtrip. This road is one I found in eastern Oregon, and in my opinion it outshines that windy San Franscisco hill by a mile.
Traveling along those back roads gives you the space you need to think about who you are and where you are going in life. It’s kind of like the ‘road within the road’.
If you are on a deadline you should plan extra time for your back road adventure, including scenic stops. Bring along the essentials: extra water, snacks, and don’t forget the camera. My way or the highway? No question, the back roads always leads to paradise.
