Hot Hi Tech Gadgets For Xmas 2009

In today’s fast paced world, we all love our hi tech gadgets. Whether it’s the iPhone or Wii or Blackberry or other fun new toy, we just can’t get enough of them. For one person a fun new gadget might be the latest cell phone, video game technology or notebook computer, while for others it could be hi tech cookware or the latest golf gadget.

2009 has been a very intriguing year in the world of hi tech, including many technological breakthroughs, lower prices and alternatives on some of the most popular hi tech gadgets, and lots of surprises overall. Every day new inventions are created which are inspired from hi tech gadgets from the past. New companies are also entering the market to challenge some of the large hi tech corporations like Apple.

This January in Vegas during the Consumer Electronics Show, there were many new hi tech gadgets introduced for 2009. This show displayed a wide variety of hi tech gadgets in a broad range from wacky, fun, frivolous to utilitarian. Just about anyone would have been able to find gadgets that excited and intrigued them.

A new gadget which was quite innovative and unusual was Promotion and Display Technology’s 3-D web cam. The web cam has two lenses and looks kind of like a space alien. It is mounted to a computer and can send images in 3-D.

The new ThinkPad W700ds notebook PC from Lenovo looks intriguing. It comes with two screens and you can adjust the second screen similar to how you would adjust a rear view mirror on a car. This gives you some extra space when you are working on certain applications or with photos that could overwhelm the main screen on a notebook.

Another new Lenovo high tech gadget is their all-in-one, integrate desktop computer that has a remote control for playing games. The remote functions much like Nintendo Wii controllers. Gamers can use the remote to simulate a moving object like swinging a virtual tennis racket.

MSI, which is a company from Taipei, introduced the X-Slim Series X320, a super slim notebook that is just .77 inches thick. The thickness is close to the Apple MacBook Air. However the notebook from MSI will sell for $700 to $1,000 whereas the Air starts at $1,799.

That wraps our observations of some of this year’s most intriguing hi tech gadgets at the Vegas Consumer Electronics show. The hi technology world has lots of new exciting developments. Less expensive alternatives and new products have made 2009 a very exciting year for hi tech gadgets.
