Torreveija is known as a seaside city. Few know that sightseeing in Torrevieja can be exhilarating experience as well. The beaches might be the main attraction but within this seaside city lies a very old town that is waiting to be discovered by you.

Since its naming in 1802 of Torrevieja, meaning Old Tower, a lot of things had happened thus, leaving this old town rich in history. Given that it is a seaside city, the main work of the early inhabitants there is fishing. Their small fishing village was situated near a watch tower in the coastline of Costa Blanca. When you get tired of walking and swimming you can stop by one of many bars and pubs around the area. They offer wide varieties of drinks and mixes that you can enjoy. Markets are one of the areas often visited by the tourists in Torrevieja. Here you can buy all sorts of things from food to trinkets, leather to bags to bring back with you and give it as gifts from your vacation. You can choose from wide variety of goods that have good qualities in affordable price.

What is a total Spanish vacation without participating or witnessing of the famous Spanish Fiestas? A fiesta is the celebration of religious images like saints. This will give you an idea as to how they “party” for their religious beliefs. They are offerings, colorful parade and foods to be enjoyed and fill your senses.

Plan a Vacation in Hawaii

Whether you are planning to visit the Big Island, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lahai or Maui your vacation in Hawaii will be filled with enjoyment. There are sites to see on each of the islands that make up the state of Hawaii.

When you visit the island of Kauai you will have the opportunity to visit the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, better known as Waimea Canyon. Here you will see panoramic views of the more than 3000 feet deep canyon. You will see crested buttes, ragged crags, and deep valley gorges. Your camera will never stop clicking at all the beauty surrounding you.

If you visit the North Shore of Kauai you can walk amongst the beautiful green cliffs and see the cascading waterfalls plummeting into deep narrow valleys far below. Standing on the cliffs, looking over the big Pacific Ocean will give you a sense of just how beautiful the island is and how small in comparison to the ocean.

Visit Oahu, the once home of King Kamehaeha. Here you can go to Waikiki Beach and enjoy the surf. There are opportunities for lessons or just the big waves for the experienced surfer to be challenged by at the beach.

If you want to learn about marine life but aren’t into scuba diving then you may want to visit the Waikiki Aquarium which is on the shoreline of Waikiki Beach. Here there are over 500 marine species and 3,000 marine specimens just waiting to educate you at the 3rd oldest aquarium in the United States. The interactive exhibits will be a thrill for all that attend.

Honululu offers the visitors a wide range of things to do and see from the historic buildings to the beautiful capitol building. You will see stunning monuments and stunning artwork by local and international artists.

Tour Iolani Palace and see the private living quarters of King Kalakaua and his successor, Queen Liliuokalani. You will see where they held lavish entertainments and did the diplomatic business of the kingdom. Hear bout the Queen being imprisoned in an upstairs bedroom after the overthrow of the monarchy.

Visit the other areas of the island, such as Windward Coast with its Koolau Mountains. Here you will see the opposite of the Waikiki Beach area. The rugged mountains, dramatic ocean views while watching the dolphins and penguins at the Sea Life Park.

Take a trip to Central Oahu and see the beautiful plantation areas. Visit Historic Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona with the memorial to those that died protecting our country from the Japanese invasion of WWII.

Molokai is a different scene than the other islands you will visit on your Hawaii vacation. The tallest point is a church steeple because nothing on this island is taller than a coconut tree. How unique is that in this world of high-rises soaring overhead?

Lanai isn’t your typical hustle and bustle island; it’s a small town environment with relaxing opportunities of snorkeling, swimming or whale and dolphin watching. A nice break from the hurrying around you will do on the other islands.

Maui is filled with what the travel magazines call the best beaches. It is an island that offers not only great beaches but also the summit of Haleakala. You can see the 60 ft tall banyan Tree or take a drive to Hana and see the Seven Sacred Pools.

Come to the Big Island and see how it is still growing! The volcano keeps adding land mass to the island. With 11 different climate zones you can experience everything from the desert to the Rain Forest, from the black sand beaches to the snow capped mountains.
