Fishing is what’s known as a secondary profession that you can add to your 2 primary professions in WoW. Fishing is a gathering profession that lets you fish in the many waters in the WoW realm and also improve your hunting skills.
Some items that you get through fishing can be consumed, while others can be cooked to further enhance their effects. If you’re a hunter, you can use your catch to feed your pets. Reagents can also be found through fishing, and so can treasure chests.
You can start fishing once you reach level five. To start fishing you first need to talk to a fishing trainer who will teach you the basics. Fishing trainers are different for each race and all the trainers can be found at the waters edge where you start fishing.
You can find trainer located at various other spots throughout the game, but the following locations are where you must begin.
Humans begin Fishing at Goldshire, Taurens near Bloodhoof Village, Gnomes to the North of Brownall Village, Dwarves also start just north of Brownall Village. The location where Orc’s and Trolls start out is just south of Sen’jin in the Sea, and the Undead begin in the lake east of Brill.
If you’re a Night Elf, you can choose to start fishing in the sea close to Rut’Theran Village, the lake near Dolenaar, or in the water around Darnassus.
If you have an experienced character, but are new to fishing you can start anywhere you like.
Some experienced WoW players like to spread their fishing leveling over time. I=They like to grown their fishing ability little by little as their characters level. One thing you might want to try which has work well in the past, is to max out your fishing ability to 150 at level 10. By doing this you will be able to use your fishing pole as a powerful weapon.
Fishing is an easy and useful profession to learn, all it requires is some patience. Once you have a high fishing skill however you will be able to fish the waters of Azshara and get massive payouts in short periods of time. Taking the time to master this profession usually pay’s off big time.

World of Warcraft Horde Leveling Guide
If you have just begun playing World of Warcraft with your family and friends or perhaps you have just started a brand new character, either way you want to get your character to level 80 as quickly as possible. You can maximize your experience when questing by doing the following:
1.) Fill your quest log
You will gain much more experience in the long run by keeping your log as full as you can.
2.) Finish as many quests as possible before turning them in.
This allows you to minimize the time spent in doing each quest compared to the experience gained.
3.) Use a Scorched Earth policy
When you are doing the last quest required to fill your log, kill your way from the quest giver to your 1st objective, then do the same to your next objective. Repeat this until you’re ready to turn in your quest. This will give a nice boost to your experience and will also make you some money along the way.
4.) Rest and Relaxation
If you are about to log out for the day, do so in an inn or at least a capital city. Rested experience adds up a lot faster in these two places compared to in the wild. The 200% experience your get through resting in these places is extremely valuable when you want to level up quickly.
5.) Move around when Quests are too difficult
There will be times when you have completed most of the quests in an area but the ones you have left are too hard. In this case you need move to an adjacent area where quests may be easier. You can return later and finish the quests in the present zone.
When you get right down to it leveling in World of Warcraft is easy. If you use common sense and follow a few simple tips you will find yourself zooming through the levels faster than you thought possible. Secrets to World of Warcraft Mage Leveling
The Mage is the king of burst DPS in World of Warcraft and are desired by most groups due to their damage output, intelligence buff, and the ability to provide health and mana regenerating food and drink.
While the Mage is definitely a power house in the DPS department they generally lack in hit points. Some classes such as a Warrior, Paladin, Death Knight wear heavy armor and have a large amount of hit points and can out last many mobs. Other classes like Priest, Druid, and Shaman have the ability to heal themselves when the going gets tough. Rogues can disappear, and Hunters and Warlocks have their pet to absorb damage. The Mage has none of these. They have low hit points, wear cloth armor, cannot heal themselves, and have no pet. What the Mage has is control and it is something that you must learn how to use when you are leveling your Mage.
Like all classes in World of Warcraft the Mage has three skill trees. These are Arcane, Fire, and Frost. The first two can inflict massive amounts of damage but lack control. In the Fire and Arcane trees there is little in the form of crowd control. Of course all Mage characters have the infamous “sheep” ability but only Frost gives even more control.
While frost may not give you the massive hit that Arcane and Fire can, you will have a lot more control of the situation. Some talents allow your chill effects to actually freeze the target for a short time, you can also increase the time the chill lasts for and stun your target. Frost can be very effective to use when levelling solo.
One of the tactics that you might use to level is to pick an area with a large number of mobs in a general area. To be safer you should pick an area where the mobs are green to you. Start gathering them up and when you have a number around you pop your Frost Nova and root them in place. Jump back out of melee range and cut loose with Blizzard. This is a tactic that I have used on a number of Mage characters that I have built over the years and it really works.
I know there are those who are going to say that you should be doing mobs your own level but I beg to differ. Let’s play out two separate scenarios.
In scenario one we will assume I’m out fighting mobs my own level. Given I don’t have strong armor and the mobs hit hard, I’ll have to take them out one at a time. At an estimate lets say I can kill one every 3 minutes, that means I’d get through 20 in an hour all going well. At 200 points per kill, I’ll have a grand total of 4000 experience points after an hours killing.
In the second scenario I’m facing mobs that are green towards me. This time I can take on 5 at a time so I round them up, use Frost Nova, and then Blizzard to kill them. This mob would give me roughly 100 experience points each. I should be able to kill 5 of these in the same time it took me to kill 1 in scenario 1. That’ll leave me with 500 experience points every 3 minutes coming to a total of 10,000 and hour. Don’t forget that I’ve looted each mob here as well which will definitely earn me a heap more than just fighting 1 same level mob at a time.
Leveling a Mage in World of Warcraft is not as difficult as you might think. Sure they have low hit points, cannot heal, have cloth armor and no pet but if you learn to exercise the art of control you have the ability to destroy a large amount of creatures in a very short time.

World of Warcraft has 14 different professions to choose from, one of which is Engineering. In this guide I am going to give and overview of the Engineering profession as well as some tips and tricks as to how you dominate this profession and make a heap of gold in the process.
Any of the classes in WoW can learn to become Engineers. Out of all the classes, I believe that the Hunter’s are most suited to being Engineers as they rely on items Engineers produce – items such as bullets, arrows, and guns.
If you choose to be a Gnome you’ll be able to get a bonus from the Engineering profession. While this will help somewhat at lower levels, as the game progresses this advantage will become less and less noticeable.
I have always found Mining to be the profession that is most suited to Engineering. When you are ready to leave the starting area at the beginning of the game make sure you ask for directions to both Engineering and Mining trainers.
One tool you need to create as an Engineer is the Gnomish Army Knife. You’ll need to have a skill level of 450 to make it but there is no limit to your characters level. Take my advice and make this as soon as possible – it has a wide range of benefits!
In order to improve your Engineering skill you are going to need a massive amount of metal. That’s the reason Mining is best paired with Engineering. As a positive side effect, Mining is also arguably WoW most lucrative profession.
A potential downside to becoming an Engineer is that you won’t be able to sell all of the items you create to just anyone. Some items need Engineering skills to use. That’s not to say you can’t make a killing with engineering items however, some items can sell for mega bucks.

Grinding is another way that you can effectively and quickly move up through the levels. Many people find grinding boring, especially when you are doing it non-stop, but grinding is a great way to earn XP points and as a result, a great way to level up quickly.
Questing
Questing is in my opinion the fastest way to level up your character. It is also fun and can be done in conjunction with grinding to earn even more experience points. Just remember that to take some quests you need to be at a certain level.
If a quest is taking you a long time to complete, consider abandoning it by clicking the Abandon button which is in the quest log. Don’t bother wasting your time with slow quests when power leveling.

The internet is packed with information about World of Warcraft. Some of it’s good, some not so good. In this article I’ll share with you 7 tips that have helped me consistently perform well in WoW.
1. Read your quest journal well.
Before you ask questions via chat boxes or look for information on the internet, use your quest journal to get directions for each quest. These have all the info that you need in order to complete each quest. If you want to ask someone, ask the city guard, but don’t waste time by chatting or searching online as you’ll often receive inaccurate information.
2. Get to know your environment.
Get yourself orientated in your area and you’ll save a heap of time. Sit down and study maps before embarking on quests.
3. Experiment with a range of different characters.
Work out via experimentation which character will be most effective for you. It’s obviously best to do tis experimentation early on in the game.
4. Choose a profession.
Think about the goals you have in the game, are you playing to make a mountain of gold or to slaughter other characters? Every profession has a trade skill that works well with it so try to choose these carefully.
5. Go Questing from the start.
Questing is the best way to gain experience points and level up your character. Questing also pays better than grinding and gives you the chance to gain some valuable rewards for completing them.
6. Quest lines are not restricted to race.
Many players either forget, or don’t know, that questing isn’t limited to your race. If for example you are a human, this doesn’t mean that you have to do solely human quests. Knowing this can make a big difference to your levelling progress throughout the game.
7. Be wise when you choose your race.
When choosing between Horde and Alliance, remember that the Alliance has more content but is also much busier. Choosing Horde can mean you have more resources and less competition.
