Review of the Macbook Air!
The Macbook Air is one of the thinnest laptops out there. As seen on the advert you can fit it in an envelope. It really is like a piece of paper. This sexy laptop is the latest creation from Apple. They always seem to manage to invent great looking popular gadgets and this is no different.
Looking at the Macbook Air really does make you want it. Sure there are thinner laptops out there, but do they have anything on the design of the Macbook Air? Not one bit… With the Macbook Air came a laptop that people wanted to show off.
Carry the Apple Macbook Air and you’ll be noticed. This is one of the hottest gadgets of the year and is highly desirable. The Macbook Air is help in an aluminium casing meaning although it’s light it still has a feel to it.
It may look good but to make it so small Apple has had to make some compromises. Its certainly not the most powerful laptop on the market. You would not want to replace your desktop PC with this laptop as it simply wont have enough power.
This laptop comes with an LED backlit screen instead of an LCD one. This means that the battery lasts a lot longer than it would if the screen was an old LCD. The screen delivers a brilliant picture. The colours are bright and vivid.
With a full keyboard you will be able to write faster than ever before. You won’t have to have childrens’ fingers to be able to type quickly on this ultraportable. Of course it’s still nothing compared to the keyboard connected to your desktop PC.
With no CD/DVD drive you won’t be able to listen to your favourite CDs on the move. There is also only one USB drive meaning you won’t be able to connect a printer and a mouse at the same time. That really does seem a bit stupid to me.
Overall, the Macbook Air is a must buy. Its design is gorgeous. There is one more negative point and that is the price. It is a very expensive piece of equipment. There is a way to get it free however. Simply sign up and complete a DVD trial with Blockbuster or another service. Then spread the word and tell a few friends. Macbooks are Slowly Changing
Apple started introducing the MacBook laptops succeeding their iBook series. The first MacBook laptop was launched in 2006 and there have been several models instigated since then.
The MacBook runs on Intel based processors and have their own integrated operating system in them. ‘X Leopard’ is their latest operating system known for its easy usability and smooth functioning. The MacBooks laptops have come out in different variants like, MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook pro.
There are definitely distinct differences between the current generation of aluminum unibody Macbooks and the previous generation of polycarbonate Macbooks. The obvious distinction is the material used for the system enclosure.
The display has not been ignored. You get LED backlighting. Compared to the traditional backlighting (called compact fluorescents) LED backlighting is much brighter, gets to optimal brightness almost instantly, and is more consistent. This will make photographers and other people who depend on their displays very happy.
The display is surrounded in black and encased in a sheet of glass. Those who prefer a matte screen might find this annoying. But I didn’t find the glare to be all that distracting and in the end, the deeper/richer colors more than made up for it.
As supplies of polycarbonate Macbooks dwindle from Apple’s inventory, users might want to consider purchasing one now before they’re all out. If the extremely limited supply of refurbished white Macbooks is an indicator of current inventory levels, then users don’t have much time left to purchase one.
Overall, the Macbook and Macbook Pro line has received a nice update. They both feel really solid and represent some of the finest notebooks available today. If you’re looking for a notebook that offers a lot of bang for the buck, look elsewhere. You can buy a similarly configured Dell notebook for hundreds less. They won’t have the really nice exterior casing, but the overall performance will be similar. But for those who prefer to use a Mac, this new line-up is hard to resist due to it’s improvements and overall refinement.
